E-Commerce an essential service

The year 2020 started just like every other year for a lot of people around the word. Christmas and New year traditions went on as always . Then came the news of a virus early in the year that began to ruffle feathers. This caused law makers to force residents to isolate to stop the spread of the virus.  Businesses were forced to close down which caused a rise in unemployment. Some businesses and customers had no option but to adapt to the new way of life. With more businesses forced to improvise by limiting contact to products from production to delivery, customers also had to adapt by finding safer alternative ways to request for goods and services.

This is where E-commerce has shown its relevance as a model for the future. Not only is it a perfect solution in a pandemic , it also gives online shoppers more convenience and flexibility than the brick and mortar stores would. With large online channels like Amazon and Ebay to small and medium channels like Kiriglobal and blendjet to name a few, these businesses with a passion for excellence and great customer service work tirelessly to assure customers that shopping online does not have to be a scary experience. Credit card companies like Visa and Mastercard, payment gateways like Paypal have also played a huge role in customer safety and satisfaction. Customers now have a lot more control on how their debit and credit cards are used. Paypal has a great merchant service that protects buyers by refunding a client if service was not as expected.

E-Commerce is the future of the business world and it is a welcome development as stakeholders are doing all they can to make it a safe and thriving environment.
